This website is run by Luwen Vincent Zhang, St. Gallen, Switzerland.

This website is a personal calling card. It shows work and makes contact by email possible.

Personal data is processed only where the technical operation of the site requires it, and where you write to me yourself.

In Switzerland the processing rests on the overriding private interest in secure and stable operation under the revised FADP. Within the scope of the GDPR the basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, legitimate interest. If you write to me, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR applies to the handling of your message as well.

The host automatically writes server logs on every request. They contain the address requested, date and time, the volume of data transferred, browser type and operating system, the referring page and the IP address.

This data is needed for operation and security. It is not merged with other sources and is not analysed to identify individuals.

I do not store these logs myself and have no access to them. The host keeps them only as long as operation and security require. The host sets the exact period.

The fonts used are stored on the same server as the website and are loaded from there. No third party is called, in particular no Google Fonts.

Loading the fonts therefore sends your IP address to no further recipient.

This website sets no cookies. There are no analytics tools, no tracking pixels, no tracking and no profiling.

No third party content is embedded, so no videos, no maps and no social media widgets.

External links only reach third parties once you click them. From that point their privacy notice applies.

The website runs on Cloudflare Pages. The provider is Cloudflare, Inc., based in the United States.

Delivery runs through a worldwide network. Your request, and with it your IP address, may therefore be processed in a country outside Switzerland and the EEA, including the United States.

Cloudflare is certified under the Data Privacy Framework between the EU and the United States and between Switzerland and the United States. The transfer abroad therefore rests on an adequacy decision, supplemented by Cloudflare’s standard contractual clauses.

A data processing agreement with Cloudflare is in place. It is part of Cloudflare’s terms.

You have the right to information, correction, deletion and restriction of processing, to receive and transfer your data, and to object to processing that rests on a legitimate interest. Consent once given can be withdrawn at any time.

An email to hello@luwenzhang.com is enough to make a request.

You can lodge a complaint with the FDPIC in Switzerland, or within the scope of the GDPR with the supervisory authority where you live.

This website is not aimed at people in the EU and does not monitor anyone. I have therefore not appointed a representative under Art. 27 GDPR.
